Take something you could do with your eyes closed. Now explain it in words alone.
Keep in Tacita is Sharazad’s afternoon for people who work with knowledge that never makes it into documents. The knowledge in people’s hands, in their habits, in the rules nobody wrote down. It is not a demo. You find out first hand how hard it is to pass on what you know. Then we talk about it together.
Fold and explain.
Before the event every participant talked with Luca, a Quisquilia interviewer. Those conversations produced the room profile. An anonymous portrait of the group, shown at the start of the afternoon.
Then the paper. In pairs, the one who knew how to fold an origami explained it and the one listening folded. Words only. That is where it showed that words alone are not enough. What gets lost between the one explaining and the one folding is the same thing that gets lost in a meeting, a document or a slide.
How 14 July went.
Welcome.
Everyone brought one unwritten rule from their workplace.
Room profile.
The group portrait built from the interviews.
Fold and explain.
Passing on a hands-on skill using words only.
Speed dating.
Short conversations in pairs, to find as much common ground as possible.
Three use cases.
Where the interviews are already at work, told without names.
Group work.
Four questions, three tables, sticky notes on the board.
Wrap-up.
The shared themes, with the whole room.
The rules nobody had written down.
They came out in the opening round. None of them is in a rulebook. All of them shape what it is like to work there.
- civic sense
- who brings the food
- flexible hours
- the kitchen
- the coffee break
- doing things together
- the Amazon parcels
- the company identity
- the shared spaces
- the rubbish
In the group work three tables answered the same four questions. Where knowledge gets lost, how to bring it out, when it is better not to push, where it could become a use case.
- Knowledge in everyday work.
- It gets lost in remote work, in fast growth, where there are no procedures and when we hand the truth over to AI. It is the GPS effect. Better not to push on intuition, talent, taste, patents and trade secrets.
- The organisational view.
- It gets lost with turnover, with «we have always done it this way», with rigid hierarchies and hybrid work. Without leadership on board the initiative comes back like a boomerang.
- Two imagined use cases.
- A culture compass that compares the culture of leadership with the culture of the rest of the company. And mapped technical know-how, in manufacturing and textile prototyping. One question stays open. Should AI act as a prompter or as an instruction manual?
Three lines from the tables.
«Knowing which problems need solving is already a form of knowledge.»
«Let’s not open any cans of worms.»
«We asked ourselves how you could map even the most creative things.»
Interviews matter when knowledge risks staying invisible. Keep in touch, keep in Tacita.
The second edition is in January 2027.
Places are limited, because the afternoon only works if people really talk to each other. People on the list get the date and venue first. The event is held in Italian.
